was falsely accused of beating up my husband
ok due to my meltdowns i have got exasperated with my,adhd and possible aspie husband but i have never physically abused him, he is a clumsy man so often has bruises on him
theres a coworker who me and my husband both work in the same company with and this coworker dislikes me and knows i get angry and he actually thought i caused my husbands bruises on him and he reported me to the police!
the police knocked on my door while my husband was at work yesterday but i was home and surprised to see the police at my door.
when the police explained why the were here i had a meltdown and couldnt tell them in words that it was all a mistake. instead i stamped my feet and went nonverbal. i have a special card that says im autistic so i gave them that and the police were nice to me but took me to the police station for interrogation.in the police car i kicked the seats and wanted to cry but the tears wouldnt come.
in the police station i couldnt speak instead i was stamping my feet and yelling a few words but i had to be held down
when they managed to calm me down i cried my eyes out then told them that i hadnt abused my husband and that some busybody just reported me out of spite or something
they got my husband and he told them the same as me that i do not abuse him so we were free to go.
i still havent found out who it was who reported me i don't want to point the finger at anyone because alot of people at work dislike me.people can dislike me if they want to because i dont care for friends but i do not like being reported like that, being interrogated at a police station was scary and unexpected for me.
my husbands angry about me being reported too.

Have diagnosis of autism.
Have a neurotypical son.
I have been falsely reported many times by awful neighbors, who ironically threatened me and my family, even threatened to kill my dogs, poison them even.
My counselor was a big help in this process, recommend getting on ASAP.
In my country, we have neighborhood cops, a cop who works one street and keeps that street in check as a side job, next to main police duty. Talked with him a lot, eventually he came to visit on a weekly basis (drinking a coffee), had some great talks with him. Great and respectful man! He told me he never met anyone with autism and PTSD before me, and it was a learning experience for him as well. Maybe, if they are available in your area, you can invite the officer and just explain the situation so they know about it for the future.
Good luck! Try not to worry too much. They need to have a lot of evidence to get you charged. They always have to take you to the police office and question you, that is normal procedure unfortunately. If the people keep making false reports, they will get in trouble themselves, do know that.
