Hate to say it, but...

I kinda think that's the whole point of taking antipsychotic medication.

So you stop talking to …"spirits".

I agree with this. I think it’s normal to dream about people who have passed away especially if they are family members. Talking to people and holding conversations with people who don’t exist especially verbally isn’t.

It we are talking about recently deceased family members then I think that can be part of the grieving process for some individuals and usually subsides as your grief lessens.

That’s very true. I don’t think it has anything to do with being psychotic though.

Correct , totally different things but sound similar if you are not very adept at explaining whats going on.

No, I dont know why Im having vivid dreams but not the other abilities I used to have.

Are the vivid dreams bothering you in any way ?

I've had dreams that range from the mundane to vivid and there appears to be no correlation to the meds I have taken.

No. I dont usually have nightmares.

I used to think I had "abilities" during severe manic episodes but that went away after I started taking antipsychotics. I develop severe mood/psychosis episodes without my meds so I have no choice but to take them. I have vivid dreams because of my sleep med. My mom and my grandma (both pasted away) appear in these dreams often. I also dream almost every night that I am back in high school or college 8O

Interesting. I didn't know that. I take melatonin and I have vivid dreams. Maybe it's because it plunges one into deeper rim sleep.

Why does talking to spirits have to mean your crazy? Lots of psychics do it.

You talking to "spirits" doesn't mean much. "Spirits" talking to you is a bit of another matter...

I take anti-psychotics too and I sort of miss the world I was in before that, everything was full of meaning. But offcourse, you get swallowed up by your own shadows and that's a very scary thing.
Everything started when I got into shamanism and my life has changed since that, I feel like I'm on a spiritual journey.
I realize that I have to take this medication or I'll lose control on reality.
