Gutted for you Marknis! It's a horrible feeling when something's postponed at the last minute after you've been excited and anxious about it :(

Hopefully the delay means there will be more people there to meet when it does happen though!

Thank you, OutsideView. The host said they want more people to join. I just hope there will be women who feel similar to me at the event when it happens.

Even better if they've got the positive mindset you seem to have right now.

Here's just one of 129 pages I found.

It's tonight, and it's free.

It’s online but I’ll give it a shot. Just need to ram out my laptop since it’s slow.

EDIT: The app works for iPhones as well. That works better for me.

I wish you the best of luck for this online event, Brother Marknis!

Tell us what happened after!

You're doing an online speed date in 11 minutes? How cool!

No. Please stop. I asked you politely not to make jokes because this sub-forum is supposed to be about support, not belittlement.

Here's a piece of supportive advice. Don't be so wound up when you meet women. They won't like it.

What they would like instead is jokes. You can make jokes about speed dating if you can't think of anything else. Keep it light. It will work.

Are you being serious or still cracking another joke?

That was sound advice, lots of women like humor if it is relatable. But humor can go both ways just like it offended you. Light hearted humor can lighten the mood, most people can appreciate a joke so long as they aren't the butt of the joke (target).

Geez, that was painful. I waited a solid hour but didn’t get a match except for maybe one that appeared to come through at first but then disappeared. It kept saying people were coming on but I couldn’t see their profiles nor could send messages to them. The event stopped after the hour I waited.

I hope it works out better next time.

I really wish the physical event that was going to happen in my city actually did happen instead. I need to do something to make up for the lost hour.

At least you're not the only one who faced technical difficulties. That might mean people will be even more eager by the time the physical event rolls around.
