I have an obsessive personality.

If I start doing something I do too much of it.

Even visiting WP is a problem. While I'm here I spend way too much time here. Doing it in moderation is difficult.

I can only relate with the WP thing. I do visit this site very often and it's no good advising me to distract myself with hobbies instead of WP. I do engage in hobbies and I go to work, but if I'm on a coffee break, or in the bath, or in bed, or waiting for a bus, etc, I get my phone and have a look at Facebook and WP.

I am one who does as well. If I start typing, I will spend most of the day typing on here and the whole day goes by.

Yep...

It's 5:30 AM right now. I normally only go to sleep at 4:00-4:30, but still...

I think I need to post this as a reminder to myself: I should probably choose one or two specific days a week when I'll check the forum, and avoid it completely the rest of the week. I can see that it will just keep taking way up too much of my headspace and consuming way too much of my mental energy if I just let myself come here anytime any day indefinitely. It hits the "sweet" spot of enough activity to keep me hooked but low activity enough to keep me checking if there's something new more than actually seeing or contributing something new. Red flags all over. I'm opening loot boxes here... 8O

Your thread popped up in my head when I posted this ^

Spending WAAAY to much time here.

I might have to block this domain on my machines so the page won't load, to wean myself off this place.

Ever had hot root beer?

In the 1960s, they used to advertise "hot Dr. Pepper."

Hot sodas... I think the cold helps them hold carbonation anyway. If it were hot it would be flat.

I won't mind a Dr. Pepper that was heavily spiced, and had real sugar in it. Do they use high fructose corn syrup now?

I really don't know......

I used to like cold Dr. Pepper back in the 1970s. Since then, though, I've lost interest.

I spend way too much time here too, since it's my main form of socialization at the moment and I currently don't have much else to do (sans the normal daily tasks that people have). I sometimes lowkey feel embarrassed because I post so much. lol

If you think you need to block the website so you can focus on other things that's probably a good idea. Do you have any other websites or hobbies that you want to participate in more?

Years ago I had a dermatologist named Margot Pepper. She had a pencil jar made from a Dr. Pepper can on her desk.

Like HeroOfHyrule, I depend on WP for socialization.
I do not regret time spent here, it is nice to have someone to ‘talk’ to.

I don't regret enjoying it, but I find it takes away time from work and from the many things I should be doing at home... I have an entire household to run now, and my house has a lot of small projects I need to complete.

My wife gets too many ideas from these shows

No, I bought my house from the first owner who lived there and basically broke everything that could be broken. And it's only 3 years old! The walls are fine though. Every appliance and fixture has something broken on it. Fortunately, I'm fully qualified for that. I just have to get around to everything.

The lady that owned it before me was a sales executive for a medical equipment manufacturer, she did well for herself as you can imagine. She did no maintenance on it at all, ran it into the ground, sold it, and moved to Texas. The market situation is such that you don't have to make any repairs on anything and it will still sell high.

No, there is nothing wrong that would keep me from living here, just a lot of small things.
