I haven’t even read the manual I was given on the day I went for the orientation and that was last Saturday. There is also no guarantee it will make my life better in any way.

This is for a museum! What sort of museum is it?

Come on, Marknis, go do it! Who knows? Maybe this will lead to a permanent position at the museum.

There's never a "guarantee" of anything in life.

Please don't give up on volunteering at a museum! I think you will find a nice girlfriend there, if it's open to the public and different people are coming in and out. Many women that visit museums are usually quite open-minded and like to learn new things. So I'd go for it if I were you! :)

Please ignore those who enjoy ridiculing you on a daily basis!

Tell us more about this museum!

I would encourage you to go for it. If it sucks, you can quit later. If you don't try, you'll never know. It might help you focus on something else and stop ruminating so much.

There’s no way anybody could interpret your post as anything other than one that offers support.

What sort of museum is this?

I would love to volunteer at a museum.

I have a very distant relative who used to run a museum devoted to the Battle of Little Big Horn.

https://www.bellcountymuseum.org/

It’s mostly about Bell County’s history from the prehistoric Indigenous tribes up to the present.

I used to have dreams about being a paleontologist and working at a big museum with fossils but others shot down my dreams.

Consider this a step towards your dreams, or something that is related to it!!

A chance to work in a museum? Fantastic - go for it! :bounce:
It's difficult to imagine anything as detailed and so interesting - you'd also be helping preserve history for others to discover.
