He was my stepmoms cat. She got him 7 years ago and brought him along when she moved in with my dad and I a year ago. I adored him so much. A tuxedo cat who was very vocal. It was so lovely. He was about 13. I thought he had a few years left. I’m shocked………

so sorry, they become parts of our lives and our hearts and always leave too soon. We are never ready to let go, but eventually we adjust. I don't say we "get over" losses like that, but that we get used to dealing with the pain of it. Sending best wishes, everybody grieves differently and it takes time to adjust to loss. Self care is very important at this time, even more than usual. Hope you can find comfort in the good memories and the love that remains even though your pet is not with you physically now.

I'm so sorry as well. You must be gutted. There's no getting over the loss of a pet.

Sending hugs and condolences. :(

So sorry, it’s especially hard when it’s sudden like that.

I always say that anyone who is not devastated at the loss of a pet has never had one and/or never should, don’t let anyone tell you that you shouldn’t be.

I love cats, but they steal your heart and break it when they go. The loss of a loved pet can be as - sometimes more - painful than the loss of a relative. X

I'm so sorry. It's always worse when you're not expecting it to happen. Your kitty was loved. He may not have lived as long as expected, but it was a good life he had with you. Sending hugs.

His paw prints came in the mail over the weekend. This tag on the plastic packaging said that he was born in November 2008. Which means he hadn’t reached 13. Why did he have to die that soon? He should’ve lived a few more years.
