I've got quite a few to do now, it takes me forever. Wrapping paper, who needs it

I've gotten better at it over the years...still hate it though. I spend hours wrapping the things, my son rips the paper off in less than 2 seconds...then I have to keep the cat from chewing it into confetti and eating it before I can get it into the trash.

I'm just glad it's only once a year.

Luckily my cat plays a round in the wrapping paper and dosen't "chew it into confetti" . Yeah once a year is enough!

Try gift bags. Stick the gift in the bag, put some tissue paper on top, stick a tag on...and your present is wrapped!
I'd be sick of wrapping presents, too, if I were you. I DO NOT wrap presents well! Fortunately, my family doesn't do presents anymore...and things I do give I put in gift bags, or just give to them.

Its simply don't wrap them up, its not the gift paper its the thought / present that counts.

Dare to be different!

Can you throw any of them in a bag? I'm not a fan of wrapping either, but I do a little every day.

Keep your cat out of the room when you're wrapping.

I hate it very much. I can never get it correct no matter how careful I am.

I don't mind it too much but my perfectionism gives me problems. I don't want creases etc... so it takes me a while and I end up hating it by the end of the festive season.

I absolutely despise it. I would rather have a gift bag. I can never get the darn thing wrapped right. There is always a corner off or its crooked. I dont understand it, i am good at sculpture and small gear detail work bt i cant wrap a present to save my life.

I just buy everybody books and CDs--makes it easy.

But really, I do have difficulty wrapping presents. I try my best to recall how I see my parents do it and attempt for myself, only to use a mile of tape so the deformed wrapping can keep a relatively decent look. Then I'll put the bad side toward the ground under the tree. I remind myself that I'm doing all this work wrapping just so it can be torn to shreds the next day.

Well...it is 2:53am here on xmas morning in NZ.

I have not gone to bed yet and one of the reasons is that I can't wrap the presents and I need to!
I have spent literally 3 hours trying to do it and the paper keeps on ripping and I fold it all wrong and messy looking and when I have finished wrapping the present I pick it up and it falls out of the paper.. Grrr!   :x :x :x

I really pushed the boundaries of inventive gift-shopping to the limit this year - chocolate AND wine 8)

its not that i dont care, i just find it difficult to think of good things. i dont think their expectations are all that great anyway...
