How are autistic people treated in poor rural areas in countries like India and China?

Regarding the Vietnamese language, a word can be the same but means different things by the way you say the word. This can present a problem if a person can't properly stress word parts and speaks in a robotic tone. Their sentences won't make sense.

Depends on the love their families have for them or the respect for others that their community holds. I would imagine a spectrum of protection all the way to exploitation. This can change moment to moment.

Reporting from middle east: autistic people are mostly treated like other disabled people: Pity and sympathy when forced to interact, otherwise ignored.

I have to say i much prefer this to the horrifying stories of bullying and abuse and outright hostility i hear at the western world. I am thankful for the effect of religion in our country for that.
