A "trilogy" is a story that comes in three parts. A tetralogy is four parts (parts meaning books, or movies, plays, etc).

An "anthology" is a collection of poems, or short stories, or whatever, in a single book (usually by different authors).

I meant the combinations I mentioned.

Can you clarify? I thought naturalplastic answered your question perfectly.

What I said. Except substitute "book" with the word "movie".

Star Wars was a trilogy originally. There are more than three now.

Movies are rarely "anthologies", but sometimes they combine a collection of short movies into one long feature length film. They do that with animated shorts sometimes. Or box sets of DVDs will have anthologies of short comedy scenes from different movies by different performers.

I've seen it with some of those spooky "tales of the unexpected" or "twilight zone", where several shorts are joined together, but they all have a common element or theme, linking them together.
