The sun is about 400 times larger than the moon.

Are you sure? They told me at school that you could fit a million Earths into the sun. I suppose that's based on volume though, and you might be talking about diameters.

Hmm......diameter 400 times = volume 64,000,000 times or so. Something like that. I can't be bothered to work it out properly but it does show that you could be about right.

No I'm not sure. That's just what I learned yesterday.

Geek factoid: Today I learned Incus (a containerization technology a bit like Docker) is a stock Debian package, as of Trixie.

Mine and my daughter's brains are wired completely different

You see in my brain fridges come from Cold World and radiators and ovens come from Hot World

But in my daughters brain they all come from the same world and so they work according to the same rules of physics or whatever

No they don't!

My camcorder copes better with low-light scenes when unzoomed

There is a species of firefly where the females mimic the blinking pattern of other female firefly species to attract the males of those species that are searching for a mate. Then the females kill and eat them.

Isn't nature wonderful?

I'd never heard of French billiards, me.
