I just discovered that I had an insect in my ear all day long! It's been the most disturbing discovery of my life. I don't know why I didn't realize it earlier than now but looking back at all the strange noises/movements that were happening in my ear all day I am truly disturbed at having realized it was a living creature holed up in there. I need to find some earmuffs asap or I may never sleep again. 8O

I don't know insects well but to the best of my knowledge (and a few seconds of seeing it before I washed it down the drain), I think it was a silverfish. *shudders at the memory of it*

I love that you both replied with this face: 8O
I'm pretty sure my face actually made that expression when I suddenly remembered reading a blog about a guy who had a bug in his ear and realizing that's what was wrong with my ear.

Worst thing is that it's so fresh in my mind that I can still hear the sound of it moving, it's seriously still freaking me out, I keep expecting it to happen again. And my ears are still a bit damp from the oil and every time something tingles it throws me back into panic mode for a second.

I agree. I can totally visualize it eating it's way into the brain. Worst death imaginable. 8O

8O That's so terrible! DISGUSTING! *shudders*

My uncle once got a HUGE cockroach in his ear while he was asleep. He had to go the hospital, but I think they got half of it out, it was so huge. I guess the rest might have come out eventually.

Thank you for scaring me and giving me disgusting sensations in my ears! Now I can think about that as WELL as my scary sleep paralysis episode when I go to bed tonight!

Now that seems a little extreme. Poor thing was probably just looking for a place to hide. Did you really need to drown the little guy?
