I am getting tired of having to repeat myself all day long. People really annoy the crap out of me even when it is my problem. I am always too soft or too loud it seems.

word association?

I have always needed a microphone when speaking in auditoriums. My voice can be rather deep and strong at times, but it also seems to get mumbly and softer when I am trying to be friendly and talkative. It seems like an uncommunicative dichotomy.

Apparently so. The funny thing is that up until recently I thought I was really loud.

Often times, yes. I have very little control over the volume of my voice.

Not that it is the same, but I am shocked when people tell me I am awfully quiet even when I spend a bunch of time talking and socializing with them. I have never understood why people need to always be talking about something.

Same here. Part of the problem with me is that my dad & grandpa are hard of hearing & tend to talk loud & my mom talks loud with them too. I have to talk loud so I can be heard but my mom fusses at me for yelling when I raise my voice. Yet she often complains that she cant hear me but accuses me of yelling when I raise my voice because I get tired or repeating myself to her. It's better to avoid people when I can & don't speak unless spoken too or I have to tell or ask something

Yup. I always think I'm talking at a normal volume, but people tell me to repeat myself so often I guess I'm not. But then other times they tell me to be quieter. I have a theory that my volume stays constant and I just don't adjust it to different situations whereas other people do. Talking at night makes your voice seem louder, for instance. Maybe I forget to change and use my 'night-time voice.'

I usually do. I have to repeat things often.
Because sometimes other people's speech gets garbled on the way into my brain, I often ask them to repeat things too.

Yep, it doesn't help that I cannot speak clearly sometimes either.
