I am about to surrender myself to only wearing Crocs from now on.
I have several reasons for this

1. I can wear them without socks and I hate wearing socks
2. They don't give me blisters (unlike most shoes)
3. They make my feet feel good, as opposed to hurting my feet.
4. I actually like the soft rubbery way they feel :) rather than just having to tolerate the way normal shoes feel
5. They don't split in half eventually from my toe-walking
6. They are relatively affordable for new shoes
7. I like the way that they look
8. If you step in a nasty puddle or something, you can wash them right off.
9. You can even wear them in the shower...(I have had reasons for doing this)
10. They never stink
11. If the plastic thingies(rivets) on the sides break, they will replace them.
I will think of more later......

Anybody else really like Crocs?

I bet they are really kid-friendly shoes....no laces or other cumbersome things to deal with.....easy to keep clean....

they are the only thing I wear on my feet in the summer, they are the best camping, and boating shoes ever made, the only bad thing was it didn't stop a nail from poking my toe

yes that is a bad thing about crocs....

also, they can be a bit slippey when wet...I really "ate slime" once when I slipped on a mud patch under a railroad tressel in my crocs..

also the soles wear out kinda fast....probably form the constant pacing I do...

i get unneccesarilly nervous about the eventuality of needing a new pair.

Never tried them but I doubt I'd be a fan. I can't really stand much of anything besides sneakers. Anyway, that reminds me of this, which isn't exactly appreciating crocs but I thought it was pretty funny (if you can take a joke and don't mind offensive language).

I think my Teva Spitfire sport sandals are superior to Crocs.
• Don't stink.
• Surely keep my feet more ventilated than Crocs.
• Have a heel that's neutral (or very close to it), for maximum biomechanical efficiency.
• The sole is more grippy than just about anything; were marketed as deck-sandals.
• You can hose them off, just like Crocs.
• Secure, fast on/off with a plastic clip-buckle.

Discontinued, unfortunately (and probably expensive when they were on the market)

the place where I buy my shoes has several styles of teva shoes.
I um..am always pensive about trying new brands.

There are so few kinds I can wear.
Someone recently had expressed how good they thought Tevas were...I think i tried on a pair, and found them to be too scratchy..they had this elastic meshy stuff I didn't like...they were not the same kind of shoes that you described though...

I wonder why they were discontinued

For a long time i swore up-and -down by Clarks Springer (sunbeat) sandals...

went through several pairs of the same kind...alas a few years ago, the quality seemed to drop dramaticly.

Now it seems the soles rapidly disintegrate :( ..if not that, then the buckles break in a way I can't figure out how to repair.

Right on! I bet they are awesome shoes for autistic kids!

When I was little, I didn't learn to tie my shoes till I was around 8 or so...and i had so many horrible foot problems..

I wore velcro shoe forever, because even when I learned to tie my shoes, I was horrible at it, and still am (as a matteroffact)

I woulda loved crocs as a kid... :)

Instead there were all kinds of rediculously uncomfortable plastic sandals that were not designed for comfort by any stretch of the imagination.

I love crocs

EeeeeeeH :salut: :cyclopsani:

The only issue I have with them is that they don't have much traction and you can slip over. I have taken to dives so far. I got a couple of grazes :duh:

Still the benefits outweigh the negatives.
Right now I am in the midst of a mini-crocs obsession.
I have been sorta attemping to bring these issues and others to their attention.

I have only had two bad falls in crocs...and one of them might have been in either fake or old crocs.

i have had multiple bad falls in Doc Martins...which are supposed to be quality foot-friendly indestructible shoes...
