Awesome! I plan to learn some german too! I've got rosetta stone... Hopefully it'll help/work. I bookmarked those sites. My interest is getting in the way of doing these things, so I'ma have to wait.

You're welcomed in the German thread in languages section. Come if you want to.

It should be easy to you, because English and German are similar languages - they're both West Germanic.

Yes I know! I'm already looking it up online and getting a good idea of it!
Ich kann nicht warten! ( I can not wait) (only needed the translator for wait!)

Ja. Doch sag zu mir "du", nicht "Sie", weil das ist zu formell :)
Du darfst nicht "you" und "Sie" in einem Satz sagen. You = du = Sie.
Also, sprichst du Deutsch oder nicht? Willst du besser sprechen? Komm zu deutsches Thema und mach kein Offtop hier

I don't speak German that well? Are you asking me if I could speak better?
It's incredible even understanding a little. You said I didn't use the formal "you"?? That's all I'm understanding.

I mean you used Sie, what is formal version. Informal version of you is du.
Sprechen Sie Deutsch, Mrs Smith?
Sprichst du Deutsch, Mary? - can you see the difference?

"Do you sprechen sie Deutsch" is pointless even in Denglish, because it means "Do you speak you German"

It changes with the change from sie to du.

In English it would be:

You speak German, Mrs. Smith?

Thou speak'st German, Mary?

We do retain the old form, but because it's KJV Biblespeak I suspect it's more likely to be perceived as formal than informal.

Italian. I have Italian citizenship but cannot speak Italian. LOL! I wish I was drafted for military service there when I was 18. It would have been better than to go to university. Argh I hate the economics course! ... :x . It was the period of the Kosovo conflict. However, I was against the war. I´m a complex person.

I am Choctaw and Chikisaw Indian http://www.chickasaw.net/ http://www.choctawnation.com/. My Great Grandfather was a halfblood, his mother was Caucasian, and his father Indian. I never met him (he died a few years before I was born) But I love to hear the stores about him from my mother and my great Aunts. That of course is on my mom/Maternal Grandmother's side. My Maternal Grandfather was Mostly Irish (My mothers Maiden name and his last name is Irish) but my mom thinks that somewhere way way way back there was some sort of Indian on his side too. It must have been waaay back because she knows about many many many generations of our family. On My Dads side: My Father is a Mixture of Irish and German. My last name is German, although some people think at one point it came from France. There might have been an intermarrying of French and German people at one point which is why some french people have my last name. However, It is pretty certain that it is German in our family.

So basically, I'm mainly Irish and Choctaw/Chickasaw(mostly Choctaw), wit a little German thrown in for fun. My hair Color is red. My Mothers hair was red (and all her siblings) but her parents were black. A lot of the women in my Family on both sides have red hair though, or did. Through all 4 of my grandparents sides. My Texture is very very kinky and curly, which comes from the Indian in me. My eyes are brown, which also comes from the Indian in me. Red hair and brown eyes is a rare combo. My skin is very light though, which I get from my dad, I think. My brother was born a browner color, with Black hair and brown eyes. people always think he is Mexican. My mom said that my sister, who died before i was born was even darker.

and on an interesting note(at least to me) My Mom said that if me and my boyfriend ever had a baby, Genetically speaking it would most likely have red hair, because he has redheads in his family too!

:P
