Still looking, though. Miss my old job.

Work at a manufacturing company. I handle all their printed materials. Package design, technical illustration, ad design, whatever they need. Pretty boring, but pays the bills. I don't have to deal with too many people so it works OK for me. I very seldom have meetings. I DON'T LIKE MEETINGS.

I work at the Hilton off and on. I like it but I don't like how things have slowed down at work so I am hoping to get another job with the PHC. It's like Voc rehab for people with disabilties. I think I finally got approved because the lady there said she will call me in a couple of days to squeeze me in. Luckily for next week I am working four days that week at the Hilton. I work alone and I deal with lazy room attendants who treat me like a scrapgoat but I ignore it. The guests are okay and I don't get massive complaints like I did at my last job. Also we get a free meal there and we don't even have to wash our own uniforms. We change and and out of them there and dump them in the bin as we leave and the laundry people wash them at night and then they get hung back up. At my last job we had to wash our own shirts and had to wear black pants and we took them home with us and wore to work.

lol, okay I know exactly what you mean! My husband is a freight traindriver and sometimes - too often in his opinion - he gets the tasks that include your sort of job. He use to call it "the work of death"

Nowhere at the moment. My first and last job was in a gym though. I did all the crap work like scrubbing floors, vaccuming out locker rooms filled with old naked dudes, and washing away the left over sweat and crud on exercise equipment. I started out doing it for community service (which our school requires you to complete 40 hours of in order to graduate), but when it was done with I stuck around a little longer and got some pay, which I used to buy some shiny new computer parts. Now I'm doing other crap work for family/family friends (lawn mowing, weed pulling, etc.) so I can pull together some money for college. Occasionally I remove viruses from peoples computers, and upgrade their RAM for money as well, but most work I do otherwise is physical. I want to get some sort of job soon though, even if it's just part time. Just as long as it doesn't involve as much manual labor as the work I'm used to, and requires little human interaction (and pays decently, of course). I just don't know how or where to start looking :?. Thankfully I have a scooter I could potentially use to get to work, but I can't seem to think of any jobs close enough to me that would be willing to hire a newly graduated student with my kind of standards. Especially one with Aspergers. I guess I might have to put up with the odd jobs I've been doing for now, at least until I'm done with college or have a drivers license to expand the work search with.
