No reason for a hammer. Just tear it apart with your bare hands. Or if you want a more peaceful solution, just turn it off.

has anyone seen that hallmark commercial where a flight is delayed for about two hours and everyone's all sad waiting in terminal/waiting room? a woman pulls out her cute singing penguins and everyone in the terminal becomes happy and it's all good...as if that's not bad two hours later they seem to still be listening to the same stupid singing penguins. everyone is still smiling!

Christmas music?

8O 8O 8O

Aaaaahhh!! !! !! I can't stand it! Blow it up, blow it up!! !

I think they started with the Christmas specials at Briscoes about a week agoe. They make a sale out of everything: Easter? Check. New Years? Check. Employee birthday? Check. The telve days before Christmas? Check. Actual Christmas? Check. Boxing Day? Check.

I hate Boxing Day sales, because when you've bought one item from them for the Chrismas Sale, they put it up for half the reduced price and say "We're having a Boxing Day Sale here at Briscoes! Come in now!" With a smile that never, EVER goes away. Oh, and they've been using the same poor lady for over twenty years now; she was here when my parents came to NZ 20 years ago.

Business owners say they start the Christmas season earlier and earlier because shoppers begin shopping earlier and earlier...probably to avoid the chaos that invades the malls that time of year anyways...it's a chicken before egg issue.

Still, I like Christmas eve evening, and day, especially because everything has slowed down. People are home with their families, shops and businesses are closed. There's no traffic, there's no lines, there's no noise, etc

I hate the ugly fake greenery they hang up in parking lots, around the light poles. And those stupid novelty things in the stores, that go off every few minutes and play Christmas songs. But most of all, I hate having to listen to Christmas music way before it's Christmas! Is it my imagination, or didn' they used to get all the Christmas stuff out closer to Thanksgiving?

I've made a resolution this year that I will not infect my wife's Christmas cheer with my humbugitude.
By the same token, she's not making me put up the lights, etc.

I'm an atheist. I don't celebrate Christmas but the music annoys the **** out of me.

It's not your imagination. :)
