they close things down because your city isnt used to snow. montanians are used to it so it doesnt bother them, i love snow and we on average get about 100 inches of snow a year, latley though - last year we havent gotten that much because of a drought. but in the next couple of days we are supose to get 2 feet of it :D
have you ever noticed when you walk in the snow that its so quiet? thats because snow absorbs sound. one of the many great qualitys it has, we also get thundersnow here. thats a thunderstorm that snows, i love the weather here and i'll never move. much like denver it changes every 15 minutes :D

wow...where I live snow is on the ground from as early as late october to early june
snow is just another thing that comes and stays
it's a part of canada

The reason is my city doesn't have snow plows or sand we put on the roads. We just don't get lot of snow every year so why need them? My mother grew up in Wisconsin and she lived in Milwaukee and yes they went to school on snow days and places were still open. They had snow plows. My city just doesn't want to use the money to have them and pay the people to do it. That's what my mother told me anyway.

When I lived in Montana, I didn't live in the mountains, I lived in the valley surrounded by mountains. We used snow plows and sand.

My city has a fleet of them (it has too) snow plowing is a HUGE business in most parts of Canada, and no wonder

It's supposed to snow more on Wednesday and this weekend. Yey.

EDIT: Just looked on yahoo weather and it said rain/snow on Wednesday and snow showers on Thursday and Friday.

I heard we're supposed to get that too. Also common Portland weather.

But it didn't say that online, only on the local news. :?

All of our snow already melted, but, we're supposed to get an ice storm tomorrow afternoon. I don't mind foul weather, and am sort of looking forward to it. :)

that's a bad thing for me

stuff-they gotta give you a reason to do the shopping quicker now don't they?
especially in america
here too, its pretty much just as bad
I can't stand Christmas (not just because I am very unchristian)
I just don't care about things, people think I am insane because of that
I have been called stupid for that (only to make them see that I was very much smarter then them, and they were a slave to society and the TV)

I am hardly working this month so I won't be doing much Christmas shopping. I only got my bf two things and that's it. Last year I git carried away and got him approximate 11 items.

Oh yeah, more people took the bus and trains yesterday because they wanted to stay off the road. It was snowing all day. Today there was less but there were more cars on the road despite the roads being icy.

yeah, I got one thing for everyone, all I was really willing to spend, considering how little money I have
every year christmas gets more annoying and stupid for me

i so want snow! but Roseburg is in a hole i think. just a little snow fell on the valley floor. tons of snow everywhere else. Eugene, Portland and Grants Pass. oh well, i guess i wont get into a wreck.

My parents also got snow and the wind just blew and blew and now it's below freezing my mom says. There was snow when I left and it took till Spokane for all the snow to be melted on my car, well there was a little bit of it on the back after I left. It was melted but it looked like ice except it was soft.
