The dealership wouldn't have let me get such a great deal if they had their way. They tried to BS me about credit checks and loan applications blah blah and tried to sell me on a high interest loan at over 16%. I didn't want to free up that much cash to buy the car, but didn't want to pay high interest credit card interest rates for a car.. I laughed at them and made a few calls & my aunt came down and wrote a cheque for the full purchase price and I'm repaying her at ~3%.
