Couldn't see anything on the link there psych, I do know that most products are going to have some sort of contaminate, I hear chocolate is also bad for dirt and bug parts, and I knew that tea can be bad for that to, but look at it this way, its added protein :)

Wanted to dig up this thread a while ago, but never got around to it.

I finally tried out a bunch of different teas, bought myself a kettle and a pot and everything, and now I really like Earl Gray. It's really weird, but I couldn't stop myself from having another sniff and/or another sip. I've tried Bigelow and Twinnings, they both taste very different from each other, but I like the Bigelow better because it stays fresher much longer (probably the foil packaging).

Did not like Constant Comment at all. Darjeeling was okay, but not flavorful enough for me. Tried a few different herbal teas, not really my thing (I still need to finish them).

English Breakfast is pretty nice, with a splash of milk.

As for coffee, due to certain circumstances, I'm kind of a snob now 8) I really like a super light roast, especially if it has good Guatemalan and Colombian in it. If it's light enough, the roasting doesn't burn away all of the sugars, and you don't even have to add anything to it, it's sweet enough.

I think Starbucks refers to it as a "blonde roast", but knowing them, I wouldn't be surprised if their version is still pretty dark

Almost 7-year-old necroed thread! But the topic is still very relevant.

Me, too. I love Earl Grey. I'm actually more a coffee drinker. But I really love Earl Grey. I've never tried or even heard of Bigelow. I'll see if I can find it. Sounds interesting that it tastes very different from Twinings. I always have Twinings. As it's summer here, I've been having iced Earl Grey. It goes very well with cookies.

As for coffee, I only drink iced coffee made from very dark strong espresso and soy milk, even in winter. Warm/hot milk ruins the taste of espresso. But recently I seem to be having Burning Mouth Syndrome and coffee doesn't taste as good. It's a disaster.

Another Earl Grey fan, here. Also, Bigelow is MY favorite, as well----Twinings just doesn't "do" it, for me. I also like English Breakfast, and Orange Pekoe's not bad----but, I don't ever buy it cuz I have to be in a certain mood (don't know WHAT mood), for it, and I'm rarely in the mood. Earl Grey is, by FAR, my favorite (after STRONG black Lipton's tea)----I could practically drink it all-day, everyday----except for..... Has anyone ever seen a Decaf Earl Grey? I've looked several times, but have been unable to find it.....

As for coffee----couldn't live without it!!

I have two drawers, and a bookshelf full of tea. . I do love coffee in the morning, but enjoy green, herbal and pu-ehr teas afterwards. I have tea bags and loose leaf teas, and I only drink out of a wide mouth porcelain tea cup at home.

There's just something more soothing with a good cup of tea by your side. There are some that are quite extraordinary on the palette, too. :D

I've mentioned before on this site that I'm a total tea-oholic. I mainly drink Orange Pekoe tea with milk and no sugar. I rarely drink coffee and when I do it has to be sweetened but tea is mild enough that I find milk naturally sweetens it. Orange Pekoe tea is popular where I live and it's even on the menu boards at a few fast-food places but one time I asked for it and they acted like they had no clue what I wanted. I used to drink green tea a lot mainly because I was worried about black tea staining my teeth, but my dentist has told me recently my teeth look very white so I guess that's not a problem. I also really like iced tea with lemon, it's possibly my favorite hot-weather drink.

Oh, I also love Green Tea! That's another one that's very different, with each manufacturer; and, I like a certain brand that I have to go all-the-way downtown, to get----so, I buy a box, when I'm down there, whether I need it, or not!

Another one I really like is called "Triple Berry" (I THINK that's it's name). It comes loose, and I use either my tea ball, or a tiny muslin sack, to steep it. That one is REALLY hard to get ahold of, cuz I can only get it (as far as I know), each year, from the "Herb Festival"----so, I buy a BUNCH!! MAN, that stuff's addicting!!

I don't like coffee or tea but I like soda instead.

Yes!

I don't see why people have problems with necrobumps...I'd rather have that than ten different threads all discussing the same subject. I mean, unless the old thread is a thousand pages long, nobody wants to read all of that.

Didn't realize this thread was that old, though

Yeah, I don't know if the foil packaging makes the difference, but I noticed in the ingredients that Twinings says "natural flavor" (or something like that) and Bigelo lists "bergamot oil".

But Twinings claim to be the original, so maybe their flavor is more authentic?

I'd have to get some gluten free cookies to try it out with :(

Bigelow makes one, I see it at Meijer, sometimes they hide the regular behind it.

I think Twinings might have one too, but I'm not sure.

I am also a tea lover. I like tea too much. I make good milk tea, Indian style. You can say, tea is my drug, my medicine, my energy, my life. Without at least two cups of milk tea everyday, I feel like an alien !

Mmmm tea.. I  it. I usually prefer black tea (specifically orange pekoe or chai tea). But it's on my list of the 5 greatest things of creation. Coffee is okay-- I usually prefer it with creamer and sugar- but it's not on the list of 5.

I like jasmine tea (plain), black tea (with sugar and some times lemon) and sometimes green tea with roasted brown rice- gives it a nutty flavor (also plain)!

Oh yeah, I forgot about chai tea. That stuff is very strange...I think it would probably gross me out if I drank it too often, but I have a cup every once in a while.

That actually sounds good now...
