Not happy with the GP I saw today.
I'm on a regular Oxycodone dose of 20mg daily.
I had surgery on the 18th, and while in hospital I was allowed up to 10 mg every 2 hours, but I generally held out for 4 hours so I would have an easier taper.
On release 3 days before Christmas I was given a take home supply of 20mg a day to supplement my regular 20... A 5 day supply to "get me through the holidays"...as if I could get to see a GP on boxing day. With that 5 day supply and the 4 days regular I saved from being in hospital I scraped through to today, the first available appointment with a licensed prescriber.
Despite her saying "you did well to get through to today on that supply", and despite some setbacks and mitigating factors, she decided not to give me any extras at all.
She happily offered me a sheet of valium (WTF? They're multiply harder to taper from)
I countered that I was previously on 50mg daily and didn't have a problem tapering, my standing pain clinic authority grants me up to 40 mg daily, and all the joints on the operated leg (open popliteal bypass) were now subluxating frequently and I was expecting a lot of pain learning to walk again.
Nup.
This is the first time I haven't been on a morphine drip for a bypass (aorta, 2 X iliacs and 2 X femorals) and I don't understand the change in pain management regimen.
To top it all off I started showing dyskinesia when past a certain pain threshold.
Great...now I Twitch like I'm being tasered too.
So..I have to make my regular supply last for the two weeks until my next standing appointment.
I guess I'll have to stop exercising my leg altogether.
I'm not mobile enough to implement any of my existing end of Life plans should I think it necessary.
My last option is a scalpel to the carotid. Hardly an ideal way to go.

I sent my son’s VR headset out to be repaired, and they returned it without the controllers.

I went to the gym earlier today, but the person running the front desk was rude to me when I checked in.

I didn't say anything back in order to avoid creating a bad situation.

A month and a half after I made the appointment, I finally talked to my psychiatrist today about my tics. The solution? Wait another six months to see a neurologist. In the meantime, change my meds, which might make it better or might make it worse.

Just when I was starting to do better. What's the point of a life where you can't control your body and your arms feel like they're about to snap in half?

My brother got me a book he thought I would love, and I don't. I hate it. I tried to get into it and after maybe three minutes, I threw it across the room. It's so boring and frustrating and I don't how to tell my brother I don't want him buying me any more books for Christmas presents since he really doesn't know what I actually like to read.

I haven't even finished the book he got me from last Christmas, or the Christmas before that, even though I found them more entertaining in small doses.

Damn... It's cooler outside now so I poured myself a drink and hobbled out to sit with everyone, but they're on the balcony and I can't get there by walker without scaring the s**t out of poppy and the chicks.
So I sat on the deck on my own and had my drink

There's people foolish enough to believe justified discrimination against war criminals is actually motivated by hatred of Jews.

Just a reminder: under international law, an occupying power has no right of self-defense, and those who are occupied have the right and duty to liberate themselves by any means possible.
