Depends on how you want to do it. I've heard of 'dodge and burn' (sounds like a great video game...
, layering the makeup on (one layer for the photo, 1 layer for the makeup).
Recently, someone got in trouble by putting a white head on an African-American for a Polish advertisement (using Photoshop). Got the light angles wrong (a dead giveaway), and forgot to do the hands...

If anyone wants to try to do anything to salvage this one I took yesterday
Here is a link for the photo in a larger size (then click on the photo to make it the largest)
This is the best I could do with it, I did a MAJOR crop, and since it was low light I had to use high iso, so I had to try to cover up some of the noise in photoshop

Anyone here use Pixelmator on mac, i threw out 2GB photoshop for a nice tiny 100MB packet.
