Personally I did house 3 young people (18, 19, 20) I guess two years ago or so for about 3 months. They were not aspies but they
all were drug users and fairly inattentive ADHD. I did not charge them any rent and paid for most of their needs. But I was constantly trying to get them to seek employment. They all went through at least 2 jobs each and additional self employment like lawn care and scrap collecting.
Other than when meltdowns trigger bad decision on my part things were okay. Essentially I kicked them out as a result of me getting upset over minor things.
Anyway the lesson to learn is a group must have a well thought out plan for making money. The point is the problems keeping you from being free, happy and independent will follow you where ever you go.
Ya i have been their (well similar story) i had a roommate, he owed me rent and i knew he had very bad credit, money for him was rough, he kept spending it on stuff he wanted, and not paying me as I was renting him my spair bedroom, he was using all my appliences, phone, and digital cable, i gave him a week, he told me i had to wait, i told him he had to go. Friends or not, they r adults, they need to take care of obligations b4 personal enjoyment, its like ppl do it on perpose, try and get away with that cause ppl like us who r responsible will take care of it, we did the right thing kicking them out, ill tell ya, thats y i live alone, well... 1 of the main reasons, heh.
