Do you like it that way, or do you feel lonely? ^

I do feel lonely but I find it difficult to trust people and don't like changes to my daily routine so it's more comfortable to stay on my own.

Have two sisters (the older one has Multiple Sclerosis) and my dad is still alive whom I email regularly.

I like this version of White Christmas the best.

that is my fave xmas album of all time, specifically the stereo version displayed in the youtube. :santa: 8)

It's also my all time favourite Christmas album. It swings in a way that the other albums don't.

I'd also prefer this thread to be more of a conversation-style, to support lonely or isolated people through the entire holiday season. I didn't write much because I've been very busy and frankly very depressed about what's happening in my life. I suppose that's fair game though.

If anyone out there feels lonely, bored, or wants to chat I encourage you all to share goodwill and companionship here, in whichever way feels best for you. That might mean general chit chat, or more specific talk about whatever's on your mind. It doesn't have to be about Christmas or the holidays, but of course we wouldn't want people arguing and fighting so perhaps politics and religion could keep to other threads.

Are there any lonely hearts out there?

We'd love to hear from you.

I didn't see too many conversations taking place in this thread and I didn't know what else to do.

That's nice. ^

Boxing Day is meant to be about charity - reaching out to family and friends, or those less fortunate, to give food, gifts, money, time, or even just a helping hand. It's my favourite day of Christmas for that reason.

I don't know if that's why your dad gave you a box of food, or if they were just random leftovers, but it was sweet of him to think of you anyway.

I hope you're feeling better after that upset you felt on Christmas.

I'm feeling much better now. I feel sad that the build-up to Christmas is over. I am feeling better though. I think it was both.

I finally got it together enough to cook Christmas dinner today..... think I should get in early this time and book a couple of days off right before next Christmas. I always finish my last shift of the year and turn into a twitching heap of jelly for four days solid.

I think it's great that you were able to cook Christmas dinner.

I apologize for posting all those videos. I had no idea that I was scaring all the members away.

I haven't left the house since about midday on Christmas Eve, and will not do so until tomorrow (Dec 27). Haven't seen or spoken to anyone during the entire period, but hey, what else is new? Actually, this way of going about things cuts out the potential for a good deal of stress, but it does have its negative side as well, one supposes.

Sweet Pea hugs.

Welcome to our thread.

I'm sorry that you were alone on Christmas.

I'll remember not to post so many videos next year. I make a lousy host, but I make a great DJ. I guess that's what happens if a rebel tries to host a party.

It's good that you still have peas in your family pod.

i enjoyed the chirstmas music, it really set the vibe
sorry i may have seemed absent, i am really shy but i read and enjoyed every one of those posts

it made me laugh, it made me cry but most of all it gave me the christmas spirit

i think it went really well for what it was, if i may be blunt, a lot of us with ASD dont have the best socialising skills, but some of us really enjoy being a part of a festive event. i'm sorry a lot of the responsibility of keeping the thread going was on the host, but i did see a lot of nice banter between members that captured the essence of Christmas

jamie will try better at contributing next year, and i hope others will join
