Did you ever buy anything like that? What did you use them for?

Today I entered a contest organized by this site: http://ksiegi-zakazane.pl/ and I so much would love to win one of those. If you want to see them, enter the "księgi" (books) section and when you already see the photos, click on "Szczegóły produktu" (product details).

I guess you keep your spells in them.

I think they are cool, but I wouldn't buy one. I would like to learn book binding and paper making. I saw some guy manufacturing home made paper. He used nettles.

Apparently, modern paper has too much acid, which means that a lot of books from this era won't last very long.

is that why the pages start turning yellow like that after a few years?

That might be jaundice. Giggle.

But yes, you're right. That's apparently so.

I would like to write a diary in it if I won. But I wouldn't buy one myself as they are very expensive, even the smallest ones.

LRP.

Gotta love the lighter-holder. I've seen leather Coke-bottle holders, too. :)

I won! :D :D :D And the number of the people who entered the contest was very big, as I was told, which delayed the final choice of the 5 lucky ones :D Though I won only this VERY LITTLE "grimoire" :( If I won the normal sized one, I could keep my diary in it. But I'm lucky because it was drawing of lots and not the choice of the best answer or anything like that.

I bought this one, for my son's father.

It cost $52.

I am homeless.

It was the best present he ever got. He cried when he saw it.

...2 weeks later, he destroyed it.

I should get my winning in a couple of days but additionally, to apologize to me for the delay, they are sending me another one - I asked them if I could make a choice as for which one I would like to get - it's this one: http://ksiegi-zakazane.pl/grafika/tytul ... 758197.jpg :D

I wouldn't buy them, because I don't need them. They look interesting, but it's not enough to spend so much money. I prefer spiral notebooks with plastic cover.
