They survive solely, on cheeseburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, macaroni salad, and corn on the cob.

And are arrogant too, because they're better than everybody else. :P

*is American* *is waiting for his house to get nuked*

Within the US each region has its own stereotypes of the others.
Ahhh, brain just went blank on how to describe them.
Okay, here's a few:
Snotty New Englander
Mid-Atlantic coast YUPPIE
Redneck Gun-hugging Southerner
New Age Hippy Californian
Eco-maniac tree-hugger Pacific Northwest
Cowboy Texan
Slow minded farmer Midwestern
Grass-stalk chewing toothless moonshine-distilling hillbilly or coalminer, both the Appalachian and Ozark mountain areas

Americans are polite, they serve apple pie to their guests, and they believe in God.

OTL I totally fit that one..

Anyway, people outside the US seem to think we are all very loud and obnoxious, and we don't believe in evolution. XD;;;

They only eat McDonalds and think America is the only country in the world.

Americans don't always agree with this stuff, though. In fact a American once told me that he was sick of people saying America is the stupidest country in the world, in fact he said he thought Europe was the stupidest country in the world :P

Africa is "a country" according to Sarah Palin. So I guess Europe is "a country" too!
Lol!

As of 2004, 45% of Americans believe that "God created man pretty much in his present form at one time within the last 10,000 years", and 38% believe that "Man has developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life, but God guided this process, including man's creation". So it's easy to see where that stereotype is coming from.

I thought sterotypes were not true. If you lived in my part of the world you would give your gun a hug.

Most Americans at least think god might have a chance, even at 8 to 5 against, but Congress is 535 to 1 against.

Most University students cannot name the states on a blank map. They have heard of them, but were never taught where they were. Many cannot find Canada or Alaska.

By the time it gets to the rest of the world, the City of Europe is somewhere.

Americans are fat, some as large as SUVs.

Their real weakness is History.

Not every American is fat. Actualy, the majority of big people I see drive older vehicles, and usualy cars.

-That all Americans are ritch, and live in luxury.
-The every one of us has a sorry $%^ edgucational knowledge, that only belongs in Grade school.
-That we are all completly stupid.
-That if we could drive to the bathroom, we would, because we all hate anything physical.
-That white Americans never clean their own homes. They only want servants to do it.
-That we only go to war for oil.
-That we all enjoy blowing up citizens of other nations.
-That we all don't care about the #$% our phsyco government is pulling.

My father had a German client making his first visit to the States, and he arrived at the airport with a cowboy hat and Western boots (w/ fake stirrups). My Swiss cousin used to refer to me as "my redneck cousin" until he actually came to America and learned quite a lot; my driving him in an SUV didn't help though.

that we believe in a God, which makes us the Christian version of Iran
That we'd nuke anyone, given a reason, or just to keep in practice
That we don't understand intellectualism, global warming, philosophy, deconstruction, or anything that every European knows in their hereditary memory...;)
That we won't embrace the metric system, multilateralism, and socialism.
That even our leftists are rightists...;)
That there's nothing you really to know about America, because we're all alike.
That we really are inferior to the rest of the world, but we're so dangerous the rest of the world should declare war on us

Honestly, I think mutual ignorance probably balances the two sides, anyway...;)

Stereotypes, not a summary of the nation. :p

The people who control America are nothing like the people who think they do.
