There was an episode of The Simpsons where Max Power (AKA Homer Simpson) is boarding a bus with Marge and the garden party guests to go to a forest to protest the fact that it will be chopped down.
Anyway one of the guests chooses to take a go cart powered by his own sense of self rightousness (or self importance forgot which exactly).

My point is, If a go cart like that existed who do you know would be able to drive it (and keep it fueled)?

If I'm completely honest... I might :P

But, really, self-importance could easily mean that you respect yourself for your abilities and think you could use them for something you think is important, so therefore you'd be important in your mind. It dosen't always mean something bad.
