it would be quite cruel for a person to say to somone, An they might want to get off their high horse. Things hapen for a reason and one might never know importance of each or any individual. I think it would be very misinformed to say it to any one.

My interpretation would be that the person saying this believes their existence will somehow be improved if you were not part of it. The key here is that it's only limited to their world.

"f**k you!"

That's how I would interpret it.

I would interpret is the way it is said . The world is better off without me. I better go kill myself. No, only emos would think that. I would just think it's their opinion.

Could we have some context? Who said this to you?

If said to me, I would want to throw the person who said that out a window.

Wow...I can't imagine anyone saying that to anyone else! Goodness knows there are people I feel that way about (Osama bin Laden, for one), but I would never say that to someone. (Well, maybe to Osama bin Laden, I would.) I've felt that way about myself far too often to make anyone else feel that way. I'd probably do the Summer Glau-as-Terminator head tilt and stare at them until the freaked out and left.

No one said it to me. This was based on a discussion my aspie friend and I had. She told me if someone said that to her, she would think that person wants her dead. To me that was twisting words around and putting words in their mouths. I even asked my husband how he would interpret that and he said the same thing.

I'd tell the person to get off their high horse.

I'd be curious as to how I have such an important influence on this world as to require not being here to make it better.

I'd would probably say nothing and cry or have a meltdown and take it very literally unless it was as a joke, then I wouldn't mind...
Half the times I have to ask if they are joking or not when they say things like that?

Personally I'd beat the crap out of anyone who said that to me. It is probably true in a larger sense though, in the sense that the presence of humanity as it now exists on this planet is very taxing for Nature as a whole. Look at all the species we've driven to extinction, and at all the waste that defiles our oceans and atmosphere. There would need to be a whole lot less people on this world, in order to restore the natural equilibrium.
