If you remember back in May, I posted about my daughter's prom disaster. To recap, it was her and her fiance's fifth anniversary the night of the prom so they went out to dinner with another couple and then to the prom. Prom was supposed to be from 7 - 11 pm, and that was printed on the tickets. They got there around 10pm right as they were closing the prom. They decided to close early. They were as late as they were because it stormed on the way from the restaurant to the prom and it was a good distance away. Normally they would have been there by 9.

Anyway, my daughter and one of the other girls that went with them asked for the money for their ticket back. The lady said she would send it but then she got mad and never put the request in. I called the other day and found that out. Miss Debbie, who is the bookeeper for the board and also works in the high school office and knows my daughter because my daughter was an office aid and also worked at the board said she didn't even know about that and so she wrote both checks. So, both girls now have their ticket money back.

Yay.

Glad to hear you got a refund. In my high school though, the prom king and queen and prince and princess were only crowned at 11pm. This May, I recall them crowning a popular, recently deceased student as prom queen. (The girl passed away in a car accident that my younger brother's girlfriend's younger sister was also in, but this younger sister survived and is back in school. Of the three in the car on that day, neither of them were the driver).

I only went to my prom because I was obligated to go.

They don't have prom queen and king at her school, they have lead out and it happens at 9 or 9:30, I can't remember which. They were trying to get there in time for it, but it stormed and it took them forever to get there from the restaurant.
