I dreamed I was going to the hospital to have a toe amputated from my left foot, beside my baby toe. I couldn't remember why it needed to be amputated, so I was frustrated and sad. Then I realised I could cheer myself up by packing for the hospital stay with my favourite pillows and my plushie named Leonard. I was suddenly quite happy about the adventure.

per Dreammoods.com-
Toes
To see your toes in your dream represent the way you move and walk through life, either with grace and poise, or the lack of. It also signifies your path in life. Alternatively, toes represent the minor details of life and how you deal with them. To dream that you lose or gain a toe(s) suggests that you are lacking determination and energy needed to move forward in some situation.

Well, you could say that again! 8O

Thank you Blabberino.

I dreamed that the clock said 2 a.m. before I finally went to bed, even though I know I went to bed at 8 p.m. last night. There was also music playing on the radio. I don't remember what song, though.

I dreamed that I was walking in a snowy field and randomly thinking about my mechanic, whose name is Jim. I checked my phone in the dream, and it was noon. Suddenly it was the next day in my dream, and I was at home. I decided to ring Jim to book my car for service. A different guy answered the phone and said "Oh, I'm so sorry to tell you but Jim died yesterday at noon. He was in a car crash". I was flabbergasted and trying to tell the guy that I had been thinking of Jim at noon, the day before. We were both shocked at the coincidence and I was very upset about Jim dying.

Today in real life, I woke up to a message from Jim. He overcharged me on my last service and wants to give me a free oil change.

(Wow -- that sounded rather pornographic, lol -- sorry). He is super cute though.

Your dream reminds me of Springsteen's "I'm On Fire" video, but in reverse: in the video it's the mechanic (played by Springsteen)who has a young lady customer invade his dreams at night.

I didn't just say that.

When that song came out mom worked as an advertising artist for a small retail chain, and had an office with a younger lady assistant. She and the other lady would fight over the radio dial (mom liked classical, and the other gal liked rock), but they both were fans of that song. Your dream reminded me of a song that...reminds me of Mom.

i dreamt again i was at work, in the miraculously humongous breakroom [in real life it was little more than a broom closet] there were tables laden with food but it was quitting time so i had to rush to gobble it up, then i awoke.

I got my free oil change today.

When Jim finished he said, "Alright, my beautiful lady, it's ready for you!" with a wink and big grin.

I swooned a little. :P

So, guys ... am I to make anything of his words, or is that normal mechanic / guy talk? I have no idea if he's married. I don't know how to flirt! I just smiled a lot and said what a good job he did. Lol

He might have liked you...

Mechanics are usually rough-hewn.

He probably thought you were pretty.

Hmmm..

Even when we aspies finally figure out how to flirt we often forget to do the first obvious thing that NTs always do, which is to do what Springsteen did in that video, which is to glance at the person's ring finger to make sure they are "fair game" to flirt with. You shoulda checked if he had a wedding ring. But it does sound he likes you.

i dreamt i was in my mom's old kitchen as it was back in the day [a few decades back] and i peered in the fridge and saw a cake she'd made, at first i thought it was a baked ham as it was reddish and of the general shape, but closer examination and a sampling of a broken off piece revealed it was a cherry cream cheese pound cake with thick custardy icing that resembled the fat on a ham. i closed the fridge and saw a similar cake sitting in front of the toaster on the other side of the stove, i walked up to it and was about to cut off a piece when my mom said something about it, and i awoke.

I was dreaming that I was with my sister shopping for new clothes at a bargain store because we prepping for job interviews. Our mom was following behind us in a manner as if she was stalking someone even though she wasn't in this dream.

Our mom ambushed us and grabbed my sister's cell phone. She then called law enforcement on us and we ran out of the store with unpaid merchandise in our hands.

We did get apprehended and placed in custody. However, my sister and I managed to talk our way out of police custody saying the situation was a big misunderstanding.

I had one last night.

So, I was standing around in a town near where I live. Then, the Grim Reaper shows up. At first I freak out, but he turns out to be a nice guy. He tells me that my time is up, and reluctantly we walk together across a bridge. During this journey he's telling me about all the horrible accidents he has seen recently, and that he's just happy to deal with a pleasant death for once.

We walk down a street, and cross a corner. Then a portal opens up and we walk through.

He's holding my arm as we do so. As the portal closed behind us, we were in a long, narrow corridor. It's empty, except for some red cloth and a few boxes lying on the ground near the door that is where the portal used to be. We walk together in silence, the grim reaper is still locking arms with me. There are no windows, just some round low energy ceiling lights. Weird that I didn't see a power switch on the wall anywhere. As for doors, there are only two- one where the portal was, and another at the end of this corridor. We reach the end, and we have a conversation about how I can never go back to being in the land of the living again.

I'm in an old market place, which is surprisingly clean. There's a few people walking around, but not many. I look back at the door, and I see the Grim Reaper go back inside. For a moment, I wasn't sure what to do. So I examined the market place, and then I decided that I was going to try to sneak back to the land of the living. I took in all the scenery and smells before heading back to the door. There is some hesitation as I go to grab the door knob, as I worry about what the Grim Reaper will do if he catches me trying to escape. As I turn the door knob slowly, I peak through the door to check that he is gone.

When I step into the corridor, it feels eerily cold. So I get the sense that he is still there, and as I look further on I see the edge of his black gown drifting away. He doesn't see me. I get close to the exit. But then, I see the portal begin to open. So, naturally I am freaking out. I glance over to the boxes and red piece of cloth that is still there. Running out of options, I decide to hide in this pile, hoping that he doesn't look over. He appears with two people, at first he begins to walk down the corridor and I think that I've gotten away with it. But then he stops. My thoughts begin to race.

He lets go of the two people. They stand in the corridor. Shortly after, he walks over to the boxes, and glances at the red cloth. I try to stay as still as I can. The cloth is a fairly thick fabric, and I tried to arrange it quickly in a way that doesn't look like a person is hiding under it. But I knew that it was a long shot. Predictably, he isn't fooled. The Grim Reaper grabbed the cloth and tossed it aside with a sigh. I looked up. He dragged me up from the floor, and we walk together, along with these two other people, down the corridor towards the market place once more.

Then I woke up. 8O
