Desmond Morris is a zoologist who made some videos about human body language, which he has studied and written about extensively. There are several other videos on interpreting body language in the list of related videos.

thank you for the link. but to paraphrase temple grandin, i feel like an anthropologist on mars or from mars, when i see body language in action.

Yeah, it often strikes me as an exercise in futility--no matter how good I get at this stuff, doing it in real time will likely forever elude me.

And yet I keep trying. Why must acting "human" take so much effort? I can only hope that eventually I will be able to reach my goal of working from home...
