Just typing the thread subject made me giggle.

The last time the Olympics was hosted in London was 1948; which was the first Olympic games after WW2.

It could actually rain for the entire duration of the games; it could also be unbearably hot (which in London is anything above 24C due to the humidity and concrete)

Assuming that the rain stays away (laughs......) there is then the logistical issue; road traffic in London is horrendous!

And what if there is another transport strike during the games :?:

For those living in London, how are they going to deal with the transport problem :?:

I'll solve the transport problem by staying inside.

I'd also like to take this chance to point out that the London Olympics logo looks like butt sex.

That is all

I'll be watching the Olympics, from the comfort of my couch.

I know England has a more moderated climate... but 24 is hot?

Yikes. I figured low 30s might be too warm, but 24?

Isn't the logo really obscene?

It really is!

They actually parodied it on this comedy show I watched once, here's a screencap:

But, seriously, here's the actual logo, look at how obscene it is:

It's clearly...

It looks like Lisa Simpson is performing fellatio on Bart.

At 30C they start praying for winter.

I remember 8C (the sky was also black for as far as you could see) in the middle of June in London one year!

I had just landed at Heathrow Airport and all I wanted to do was hide in the plane and wait for it to take off again..........to anywhere :!:

That logo :!: They really do know how to F*** things up in the UK
