Is thier a reason for this?

What I don't understand is that for example in male or female friendship cirlces a man can't just meet a guy for the first time say to himself "I don't like him and I don't want to be friends with him". People say you cannont get a long with everybody but you can't really just dislike somebody for no reason right?
