I saved a cockchafer today. I'd never seen or heard of a cockchafer until today lol. I was filling up a mop bucket at work when I saw something floating about in the water and I quickly tipped the water out and saw a strange-looking creature lying on its back trying to regain its balance, so I got a pen and it gripped on to it and I got it on to its feet.
I gently eased it on to a cloth and showed a coworker and she told me what it was. Then the cockchafer started flying around me, which I wasn't expecting. It landed back on the cloth and I was becoming rather attached to it. It seemed happy I had saved its life despite me not knowing what it even was at first. Then it spread its wings again, hit my arm like it was kissing me, and flew off to freedom.
I then asked Google if cockchafers were harmless and apparently they are. If I'd known that I would have picked it up by my hands.

Cockchafer sounds like another name for a jock/cup.

At least the pain hasn't flared up since the ibuprofen so I'm glad about that

My noisy bastard neighbour above has been getting some stick off the locals today. I'm hoping it gets the gobby twat to shut up.

After a week of living with my parents I've finally cleaned up all the crap from my apartment that's been clogging up the living room

It's funny because my aunt has a lot of stuff but she lives in a tiny apartment so she keeps it all in my parents' basement, and now all my crap is also in the basement. We don't really have any basement left at this point.

Watching an episode of Family Feud with my mom.

Steve Harvey is hilarious.

Nice

I don't know if this made me happy but it certainly made me laugh out loud: my daughter told me that I'm her fourth favourite thing
