Logged a 50-mile QSO between Irvine and Catalina on 2-meter simplex with a 1 Watt hand-held and a "Rubber-Ducky" whip.

It also shows how much I'm able to love and accept myself the way I am.

Swearing in of the first woman, first black and first Asian descent Vice President of the USA. My foster daughter is biracial and I always told her, you can be anything you want to be. I had to look harder back then to find role models. What a great day!
