made time for a walk by myself. this campground has a really pretty lake, and there were a lot of mushrooms growing under the pine trees growing nearby

Going for walks in nature is always so fun and relaxing. Do you know what kind of mushrooms they were?

Mostly, yes :) Identifying is one of the best parts of finding them! :D Lactarius paradoxus was the first one of note that I found (and was the most abundant). There were also a few red Russula sp. (not typically identifiable to species level without microscopy). There were some little brown mushrooms that I still need to identify (wasn't familiar with them).

I just discovered that I can charge my phone using the USB port on the side of my laptop.

Because that's how dumb I am.

Oo, thank you for telling me which ones they were! I love learning about new organisms. Do you identify things by Googling their characteristics, or do you have books or something that help you? I usually just Google things until I find the right organism. lol

What is a "solitary biscuit"? Do you mean a singular biscuit that you ate?

My age now shows up properly on here thanks to Blue_Star. It's very important that everyone knows I'm 20 instead of 19, as there's definitely a huge difference between those ages.
