I picked up a used, 2 year old WinMob smartphone with no data plan to keep costs down. I use WiFi. I prefer a physical keyboard and touch screen to those that don't. I still carry and use a Palm TX PDA, but have heard bad things about quality control of most of their older smartphones. I might still pick one up, if I can find a bargain. I remember when Palm dominated PDA's and smartphones. Winmob used to be second.

I don't use a phone, I find it hard to talk to any one on it.
Even my mum.

Don't use one.

Is it a red phone like on Batman  I know bad joke  Seriously thou; we have a phone like that & it's the only phone that works after a hurricane here. The digital phones need to be plugged in to electricity to work & the cell phone towers can get damaged.

Samsung Rogue. It is a good texting phone, with touch screen and web browser.

Probably I will upgrade to an Android when eligible.

I have a BlackBerry but it was hijacked so I had it turned off last month. I bought a Tracfone to use temporarily but I haven't used it yet. I miss my BlackBerry but I haven't decided if I am going to buy a different phone or have the BlackBerry turned back on.

I just noticed that the thread topic asks one question and the poll asks another. For the BEST, I would go with an Android phone because of the keyboard. The iPhone would be a close second because of the browser. Apple just announced that they will allow apps like Flash, so that makes the choice even harder. Really the main reason I haven't switched to one of these is the time it would take to transfer the data and to find equivalent apps.

Ooma for landline and tracfone for mobile. Looks like I will pay less than $50 to $75 for mobile service for the whole year (not a long talker). :D

I love the ooma for its free long distance, local calling, and I can use a real phone. I can actually hear/understand people and people can hear me clearly on it -- rather than most/all cell phones I've ever used.
