I'm bordering between threatening and dangerous. I have a patchy beard A.K.A. The Sidney Crosby.

Well I'm either patch or homeless so doesn't look good. Pretty sure many terrorists would be trustworthy on there though!

Well of course terrorists would choose trustworthy styles. They need to blend in...

I've been told beard and goatee look good on me, so I stick with it. Looks like I need to find myself some nitrogen and a white panel van... Oh shucks.. my driver's license has expired....

I'm somewhere between full beard and homeless beard...or maybe the patchy beard? I'm not sure.

Also, apparently Charlie Chaplin is not trustworthy at all

I was glad to discover that my beard is trustworthy. I would hate to think it might turn on me during the night and ... Oops, that's not what you meant.

The funny thing is that this is so relative to the culture of the person in question. The way that people view a person with a beard is not based on logic, but I am sure there is some truth to this notion for the western culture. Other cultures would be different. Some cultures don't trust you if you don't have a beard! I have had my beard for many years (goatee+mustache) and I haven't changed, but I suspect that how it is viewed by others has. Unfortunately, I suspect that some people see any beard as suspect since they associate them with terrorists.

I was guilty of this type of assumption at one point. One of my professors in college had a (philosopher's) beard and I assumed that he was probably kind of a hippy until I talked to him a bit. That reflected on me more than him. I have since learned not to pre- judge people based on their appearance.
