This has been my latest special interest so thought I'd share it. How... well... humanly developed different places are in comparison with each other.

New Human Development rankings came out last month, and following is a league table of those countries considered Developed according to the ranking.

I also worked out the HDI for the US states. There's an American Human Development Report, but I wanted to do an index using AHDR figures in line with the UN records, so that in theory it's comparable to other countries. (In practice I suspect individual states are raised in their HDI by the whole country doing well on education and income.)
