The following is a story that I have been following online concerning the most gregarious dog I have ever heard of.
As many of you know that my friends two dogs were neglected and obviously starved for an uncertain amount of time. I went to go visit Bruno in the hospital and his mummy said I can tell the whole story of what happened. My friends Suzanne and Peter were going off to the Dominican Republic to get married. They decided to leave their dogs Bruno and Dakota in the hands of their "so called" good friend Daryl. My husband Steve and Pete have know Daryl for about 20 years so they trusted him to look after their dogs and he was to live in their house while they were gone to take care of things and the fur babies. So Last Saturday They came home late and exhausted from their long flight to find their house in complete disarray. There was dog waste everywhere, couches ripped up, the remote control gnawed apart and everything was a disaster, they found Dakota in decent shape but very nervous and then they found Bruno. Bruno was lying on the floor not moving having an arrhythmia. Pete called the emergency pet hospital and asked for an ambulance. The hospital said they no longer have ambulances due to costs and budget costs, so with the help of a good neighbor, they managed to get Bruno in their van and take him to the hospital. Bruno was taken in to surgery immediately for twisted stomach. Bruno's prognosis was not good and Pete told me to come in to see him sooner then later. Bruno has an IV in, monitors to watch for heart Arrhythmia's and he has a catheter in, he also has edema and his paws are very swollen. I have known Bruno for 7 years, his daddy Pete is my Husbands childhood friend and my sons Godfather. Bruno is a napoleon mastiff who loves to give kisses to people he knows and he loves children! he gave Jack sloppy kisses when he came to visit last year. When I came in to visit this morning I was so stunned, The once happy and vibrant dog was lying on a big pile of blankets, wires everywhere and being propped up by pillows. He barely lifted his head to look at me and then let it drop, but kept his eyes on me the whole time. This guy used to stake out treats in my purse! I instantly got on the ground and smothered him in kisses and told him how much I loved him and how everyone on facebook was worried about him, I showed him the new expensive toy I bought him and rattled it, he loved it so much he nuzzled it and lay his head on top of it. His mummy told me he must love the snake toy I bought him because he snubs his other toys. I lay on the floor with him while his mummy coaxed him to eat. She bought him some meat but he wouldnt touch it, he spit out the peanut butter she tried to feed him too, he spits everything out that they try to feed him, he will not eat anything. While I was snuggling Bruno, I overheard the vet talking to Suzanne about Bruno, it cost them 500 dollars a day to keep him in the ICU on the medication and fluids, their bill now is $9400.00. I want to help them, so I asked the vet office if they have a paypal and they do not. But they said if anyone wants to call in a donation for Bruno then that would be a very safe and excellent way to help Bruno in his care. Suzanne and Pete just came back from their wedding to find their dogs starved and neglected. they have to pay over $5000 dollars to fix the carpets that are now completely ruined, but they don't care about that, they only care about Bruno. They say they will do anything fro Bruno, no matter the costs, because he is their fur baby and his life is worth any amount. Suzanne spends about 8 to 12 hours a day with him and when Pete comes home from work, then he stays with Bruno. I have never met such amazing loving parents who love their dogs this much. Bruno is hooked up to a heart monitor and when I got up to leave, his monitor went off and it showed his heart was racing. The vet and Suzanne explained to me that Bruno gets so upset when people leave that his heart goes out of whack. What happened to this dog in that man's care to make him this terrified of being left? Unfortunately Bruno and Dakota cannot tell us but we can only imagine.
I am posting the information of the vets office, including the name of the vet, you can ask all the questions you want. I am posting the phone number, the fax number, address and website. I know times are tough as the economy is not great, But I am asking my friends who are able to and want to.... if you can please donate a small amount, even 5 dollars helps towards Bruno's care. No newly wed couple deserves to come home to find their dog dying from Neglect. Bruno is in the ICU in very grave condition, and he is in this condition because a complete jackass neglected to feed and take care of these dogs. I just want him to feel the love from all of us, please pray for him and his family, and if you can help with a donation you cannot believe how thankful we would be. If you do donate, please inbox m your address ( if you want) Because Bruno will be sending out personalized Thank you cards and pictures of his updates.
Sadly, Bruno did not mark it, and he passed away last night. He has moved onto the 'Rainbow Bridge', and escaped the suffering that he was experiencing. What is going on inworld?
As you can see, the third and last statue in the series is just as fabulous as the two that preceded it. It's a very regal looking piece, and we've named it the Emperor Statue as a tribute to all Aztec Emperors. When you have collected all three of this ornate and marvellous loyalty items, you have the opportunity to combobulate them, thus created the AZTEC THRONE!
This opulent looking Aztec throne is a fantastic looking piece, I'm sure you'll agree. Sit on it, and you'll be feeling like Montezuma himself in no time! As well as providing you with a very regal place to sit, this fantastic throne is also a turret - and the golden energy ball it fires endows you with the essence of Aztec gold... if you get hit, it will increase your speed!
Be sure to participate in the Monthly Loyalty Challenge, and earn this months item!
THIS MONTHS CONTEST!! !
The contest being held this month is a lot simpler than last months, which surprisingly did not have any entries!
All you have to do is post a screenshot of you inworld, that relates to Chinese New Year. It could be of you participating in the Chinese New Year Mission, or your greeting another avatar in Pinyin (the English version of Chinese, essentially). The opportunities are endless! The deadline for this competition is the 26th of February, coincidentally my little sisters 8th Birthday! Have fun taking screenshots, and the prize for the winner is 1,000 Gold!
FAN ART!
The following was submitted by Jack Milano, who has subsequently won 500 Gold!! !
