The usual morning depression. Have had it for 12 years now, so kind of don't remember when I didn't feel this way. Hopefully it gets better around lunchtime.

There's always a lot on my mind. In this moment?

-I've been thinking about modern suffering, man without meaning outside themselves.
-To be outside the zeitgeist of normal perception of understanding, I often feel that I'm speaking another language and people are either interested or confused.
-How the lack of visual language leads to misunderstanding of words. Isn't it interesting that we all assume we have the same translations for words in a shared language? There's an assumption within communication that you understand me and I understand you, but if I were to ask you to repeat back to me exactly what I said, the conversation would fall apart. What does this mean? It means we have a primitive form of communication. Interestingly, the internet has allowed us a way to speak visually that pierces through words.

I'll stop there.

I was, once again, asked what I do for a living, and the question was made in English. I had to, once again, use google translate in order to be able to explain. I really need to memorize how to explain what I do for a living in English.

I’m an American, and only speak English.

Why do they require one to explain what one does for a living in English, in a non-English speaking country?

That would be like, say, forcing me to explain my reasoning in French, in the United States.

The Adam's Family is going to be on for five hours today. I'm looking forward to that. It seems that television rules my life. Maybe I am Mike Teevee.

The Addams Family is much better than those “reality” shows.

I'm glad that my shift doesn't start till nearly 5pm since that will make it far easier to get to town early enough to pick up the packages and other essential supplies. I really hope there are no issues with the fedex pickup as I don't know how I would manage my shift if there is an issue with that.

Why are some people so obsessed with religious symbols and figures on gold medallions or charms?

Most of these people go to church every Sunday, yet have never read the Bible themselves....yet they come into my store and purchase 300$+ on a golden Saint or a Jesus or something... I just don't understand?

Do they see it as a heaven token ?

And what is the deal with gold crosses?
Wouldn't it make sense to wear a gold fish or some other symbol for the elegid miracles Jesus did?
Why is it the cross that was used to kill him that people look to as a sighn of hope?

It's like if someone shot and killed my dad and I wore a golden gun around my neck and feel "blessed" evertime I so happen to run across a gun.

I'm going to just go to sleep. I was going to get things done today, but my motivation was ruined by people being as*holes to me again for absolutely no reason. I don't even want to be awake now.

Yep….rest is always good. I might take a nap, too.

I wish I was a kitty cat who takes kitty naps.
