I just caught a large bumblebee in my living room and set it free outside. Funny how I show more kindness to an insect that would have made a lot of people scream and freak out than to people themselves.

Bumblebees aren't really aggressive anyway, and they're pollinators so they're important to the ecosystem.
And they're pretty cute, too.

^ I’m sorry to hear about that. When my dad was younger, he broke his knee at work too.

How’d your dad break his?
My dad broke his kneecap from a fall onto concrete

The break is on his good leg, too.

^ Ouch!

My dad insulated houses for a living. To reach high places, he had to use stilts. When he was using his stilts one day, he fell through a hole that he didn’t see and broke his knee and a few bones in his back. There was no one around, so he had to crawl out of the basement and to the car on his own.

I think my ADHD is the only thing that keeps me in shape.
Otherwise I would never get off the couch.

8O omg that's crazy.
Do you mean he got INTO the car or just got outside near it so people would see him?!

My grandfather fell off a roof before I was born and broke his back. Maybe it was his neck? I'll have to ask. It was about a six month recovery whatever it was.

He got into the car so he could get his cellphone and call for help. The house was out in the country, and there was no one nearby. His recovery took around 6 months, and he had to find another job after that. He hated that job, so he didn't really mind that so much.

These are some crazy stories.
My dad is a mail carrier and klutz so he injures himself a lot.
His feet pretty much always have something wrong with them.

I’ve heard of a few people who’ve been in an accident and helped themself to safety, like your dad.
My uncle was in a very lucky car crash a few years ago and crawled out from under the car himself. (He’s doing great now, don’t worry)
I’ve also had a “help yourself to safety” situation with a bike crash
