My state review finally ended yesterday. The good news is there are no ALERTS and no paybacks. But each year they come up with more picky items to check and it is degrading to me, as a professional, to be marked down on things I know I do well. A simple example: I mark down that a person is satisfied with current service. Reviewer, but you didn't say how you know s/he is satisfied. Repeat a dozen times or so with minor variations.

Also, I bought a new Taurus in November and I don't like it. There are several reasons, but the most critical is there are blind spots, even with that stupid backup camera. So, at the home of a person being reviewed, when I left, I backed into a utility pole. Insurance will cover the cost to fix it. But I tried to see if I could trade it in for something else and it turns out the trade in value is $5000 less than I owe on it.

Now I am afraid to drive. I am afraid about my finances. I am afraid I can't keep doing my work. I have spent the day under the covers and I really don't want to come out.

I know I'll feel better soon. If not tomorrow, the day after. Just gotta hang in there.

I've still many bad habits to shed in regards to assertion. Namely, knowing to say "No."
