Do you always feel out of the loop?

Not sure if aspegers related or not, so I will post it here. Do you always feel like you only know about half of what is going on whether it be at work, school, or with the people in your personal life? People expect you to understand what is going on, and they will bring something up and you will finally put 2 and 2 together. I get the feeling I am running to catch up with what is already known by other people. I don't know if it is part of not being well connected or I just miss the obvious. Is this common and what can be done about it?

Ha, well, I don't know what else to say. If I really need to know something, it usually comes to me.

Until fairly recently, following world events was a sort of "special interest" of mine, so on the contrary, I was always more aware of what was going on than everyone else around me. Of course, my interest was mostly limited to politics, social issues, and science, so I was still essentially clueless about popular goings-on in the realms of sports and entertainment.

As you can imagine, trying to keep up with the state of the world can be rather all-consuming, so I decided to give it a rest, and now I find myself almost entirely out of of touch. Er, out of the loop. >_>

I'm pretty much always out of the loop. I don't watch tv... or talk to many people who even live in my own country now that I think about it . I'm usually the last person to find out even about things that are important. I like it for the most part though... I'm not constantly worrying or obsessing about frivolous issues

I don't feel out of the loop. I purposely station myself as far away from the loop as possible and pretend it doesn't exist.

I feel out of the loop a lot with others but I sometimes know more about what's going on than they do. I'm quiet & kinda withdrawn & people know I'm out of the loop sometimes so they feel safe saying stuff around me that they would not in front of most others because they think I'm not paying attention, know or care. When I was working I knew a lot of inside info that could of got a lot of people in trouble; people are lucky I'm not the blackmailing type. I sometimes leak info on purpose thou but those people were bad workers who were causing problems for me & other good workers & the company would of been much better off without em. I was NOT trying to cause problems for others but I was trying to look out for myself & others

Loop? What loop? What is this loop of which you speak?

I never knew that there was a loop, because I'm happy just to do my own thing.

I am oblivious what is going on around me. Sometimes people can talk with me around and I may not even notice what they were saying. If it's gossip or some drama they are talking about, I can end up listening if my ears catch it but I don't say anything nor spread it. Then I forget about it literally. I guess because I don't really care so why keep the info?

Leaving people "out of the loop" can sometimes cause a lot of embarrassment for everyone concerned. That's all I'm going to say here.

I don't even know where this loop is, have to be careful could trip over it.

i do not feel left out of the loop, but i feel as if i am situated inside a deep invagination in the loop.

i think of the "loop" as a program loop that is a cyclic reevaluation of everyday input, and a conditional actuator of executable functions that are contained within the loop.

i feel that i am like the function at the end of a nest that is many levels deep, and unlikely to be drawn into the social circuit of execution.

i could not type in this post a simplistic example of what i mean due to the incapacity for indents, so i had to do a screen shot instead.
