That's funny. I was just thinking about flies earlier on today, and how some are green and some are orange and others are blue.

Do beeflies sting, or are they like regular flies?

They don't sting, but they buzz like bees. They are quite small compared to most bees, and round. Their proboscis sticks out all the time, so they look a bit fierce! Adults feed on nectar just like bees and butterflies.
