I don't think I can describe my own paradise on earth, but it would have a lot of the characteristics of the OP's.
Got a funny, though: Some years back I had to take a business trip to Las Vegas. The whole flight out I kept thinking, "The entire Southwest Desert is just a short car drive from where I'll be stuck!" I love the Southwest. It's open, it's beautiful, and the sunrises and sunsets make me weep. But I was stuck in Vegas, and I didn't have a car. I was soooo close. RATS!
Just in case I brought a few books.
The weirdest thing happened: People let me read! They left me alone! It was wild! I went to a restaurant, and as soon as the wait staff saw my book they seated me in a spot by myself, brought me my drink and a menu, and more or less left it at, "If there's anything you need, let us know." I read there for hours. Then I came back the next night, and the night after that. It was seriously peaceful. In a city that's the opposite of my paradise on earth, I actually came close to it. Weird, huh?
But Vegas doesn't have enough trees...
chrissyrun, just curious: why no oceans? Oceans and trees are part of my paradise on earth. (What a cool question, jc6chan! All the answers are so different!)
And mine would have to include sharks, mountain lions, wolves, coyotes, and all the other predators of the earth. They're simply beautiful. If the day comes that I get snarfed up by one of my favorite predators, so be it. That's part of my paradise, too.
