I'm really sorry this is the part I have to cite a foreign band that you probably don't know anything about, for it's the lyrics that first count in, and they are all sung in Hungarian.
Most songs of Bergendy Ensemble have lyrics that I can identify with or relate to, no other band comes close.
I also like some Pink Floyd songs and lyrics up to 1975 Wish You Where Here, and many song from Simon & Garfunkel.

1. When the Moon is rising another day’s passed,
The old river exchanges all its gold for silver.
2. I walk slowly on the riverbank, turn down my head,
I dream the silence, don’t hear the distant rumble of the city.
R. I’ll forget how noisy the world is,
I’ll forget the woes and sorrows of weekdays.
3. When the Moon has set, I forget I’ve got tired long,
Tomorrow everything starts over again, always alike, always alike.
