Why do quite a lot off brown eyes eventually turn too green as a person gets older?

Blue eyes just stay blue for a very long time whereas as brown have a tendancy too go green? Loads of people i knew who had brown eyes as children or teenagers ended with hazel eyes in there 20's. do you think they were probably more hazel brown eyes as opposed too classic browns hence why there eyes gradually went more hazel or green? I noticed that spanish people who have proper dark brown eyes do not change. English and American people with brown eyes do have a tendancy for there eye colour too change at a faster rate compared too people from more tropical countries like Italy or Spain.

I thought the brown eyes were a dominant trait yet they can be overuled by lighter eye colors like hazel or green?

Weird. I've noticed the complete opposite. Lots of brown eyes staying brown, but blue eyes going elsewhere.

Agreed. My blue eyes went gray and I'm not alone.

^^ Yes. Mine were an outrageously bright blue as a toddler but they're now more grey than blue.

Most people seem to have brown eyes and the ones I know have all obstinately stayed brown.

Hazel is pretty!

I like the green in my eyes, it represents the artistic and uniques side of me.

And the brown represents old-fashionedness.

I have eyes that are either blue or green depending on your point of view.

They've always been like that.

I started out hazel-green, but now my eyes are bright green.

Is 15 years a long period of time?

My eye colour changed from brown to hazel. But they still work great!

My hair colour darkened however from middle blond (with seasonal influences) to dark blond.
