Today is my last day on the job.  Tomorrow, I begin my retirement.

I'm finally coming to terms with the death of a good college friend. He passed away in the December of 2020 and I found out about it last March. It was the 31st of December that he passed away. It's the 31st of this month. I put it in the back of my mind until now. The song, Goodbye My Love by The Searchers really got the waterworks going. It reminded me of the first time I said goodbye to him in the October of 1994 when he moved and his phone was removed. It was in spirit instead of in person. I just said said goodbye to him in spirit again today. I'm going to make lunch. I long to go back to my college days. He had a German last name, but he took after his mum who was born in the same town as Pete Quaife. Devon, England.

I hate being in cars right now. I feel so on edge whenever I have to be in one, and especially when we're on the freeway. We also had to pass where the accident was this morning and it stressed me out even more.
