My application for Medical Services was denied initially today when I checked the status of my application. I had left multiple emails, phone messages over a course of three week requesting clarification and heard nothing. After seeing this I left a very angry voicemail with my County Assistance office and left a voicemail to the Deputy Director for Center for Medicaid Services in Washington, D.C and another voicemail to the Department of Income Management in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and lo and behold at 4pm today I received a call back from a manager stating they would reopen my application and accept my eligibility documents.

This is one of THE WORST experiences I've ever had in applying for a government service. It left me shaking in anger. Receiving the call back is what made me HAPPY today but it took a lot of UNHAPPY actions to get it done. For anyone living in Pennsylvania please be warned that it unfortunately takes a lot of actions to get call backs from your local assistance office. After doing some digging I now have contact numbers for the Directors of every county's assistance office in Pennsylvania on a Word doc and if anyone lives in PA and needs it please feel free to PM me. Once I get private insurance again this is THE LAST TIME I will ever apply for state medical assistance if it can be helped. I also probably will never apply for autism services in this state. PA is a ungodly nightmare when it comes to government and I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with them. Sorry for the long post and rant but had to get that out. Feel much better now

Went to the DMV to get my learner’s permit today, waited for about an hour.
I got one traffic sign question wrong which failed the test. Now I can’t take take the test again till September 19th, in 15 days.

I have a feeling that Barb will no longer be able to come to my place or even worse, be friends with me because of one of the workers in the program that she's in.

My mother kept referring to my abuser today, asking how he was.
She meant someone else but kept using the wrong name.

I think I should write a trauma musical.
I have no idea how else to cope at this point.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you know what the worker's problem is?

The worker likes to micromanage the clients who are on her caseload and she's overprotective of Barb in particular. The worker doesn't want her talking to people who are unusual. There's another person in my building who's not like everybody else that the worker told her not to talk to.

I hope Barb stands up for herself and her friendships.
