Of the seven thousand plus lightning strikes so far in the UK today none are within a hundred miles of where I am. Jealous of west Wales right now but not the probable flooding they're suffering :cry:

I'm sorry. I'm from south Louisiana & I've been through a few hurricains that caused us to lose power for a week or so. We had a generator so we were able to keep a lot of our food but we couldn't do much else that involved power. I hope the temp isn't very hot where your at. Temps in the 90s with high humidity & not being able to use your AC can be a major pain.

Thank you for your condolences. I can't say I've lived through a hurricane. I spent a month in Florida in the summer and we lost power then too, heat was aweful. Temperature isn't bad in Iowa today. We got hit by 80 mph winds today out of nowhere. Really messed up the power grid, lots of split trees. Most of the central part of the state is without power. Dinner will be chips, nuts, and hardboiled eggs.

The woman raising the kitten I had my eyes on somehow got it in her head that I was no longer interested (without talking to me) and let someone else reserve her. Dafuq? :skull:
